Day 7: Krabi & Phi Phi Islands

We went on a Phi Phi Islands snorkeling tour. The boat picked us up right on the beach in front out our resort.
Here is a map of the Phi Phi Islands. We went to Bamboo Island, Phi Phi Don, Phi Phi Lay, and Maya Bay.
Bamboo Island. Look at how clear blue the water is!

The beach sand was as soft as baby powder and the water was as warm as bath water!

Our crazy, yet very entertaining tour guide. He really took a liking to us!

The Lagoon. These pictures don't even do this place justice! So beautiful with the emerald waters.

Maya Bay. This is where the film, "The Beach" was made.

While snorkeling, we watched our tour guide Alex dive down and pick up this Sea Urchin.
We didn't take an underwater camera, but here are some images of just a fraction of the colorful fish we saw while snorkeling around the Phi Phi Isalnds. This is such an accurate picture. These black and yellow fish swim right on the surface of the water and there are millions of them!

These were my favorite to see. The water was only about 20 feet deep and the water was so clear, you could see all the fish this perfectly.

Boat trip back to our resort. Railay Beach
Our resort is hidden in those trees.
Sea shells on the beach. I took a handful of these home with us and they are so pretty! I'm glad I was able to convince the strict Thailand customs people to let me take them home.
Watching the sunset. Everyone at the resort comes out at night to sit on the beach and watch the sun go down.

I want to frame this picture!

Enjoying some orange and lime cream floats on the beach.
The walkway through our resort at night.

Goodnight Railay Beach!
