Day 2: Bangkok

Good morning Bangkok! This was the view from our balcony!
(Chao Phyra River)

View from the hotel's deck.

Me met up with Joe, Grace, and Chris to hit one of the largest malls in Thailand, Siam Paragon. Also known as, "The Pride of Bangkok".
McThai
It was such a fancy mall!
Thailand's version of Pink Berry. Delicious...
We took the train to the famous, Chatuchak Weekend Market. This is a 35 acre area of over 8,000 market stalls. On a typical weekend, more than 200,000 locals and visitors shop through the market!

Can you tell how hot is was in this picture? 95 degrees + 100% humidity.

I can't even describe how crazy the market was. My sunglasses broke on the plane ride to Thailand, so I found some knock off Ray Bans for 90 Thai Baht! (~ $3USD). You'll see them in all of the remaining pictures. I also bought the straw hat you'll see in all the Krabi pictures for ~$4.
A refreshing treat, chocolate covered banana.
Train station. Jordan was a pro at figuring out exactly how to get everywhere! All of his mission skills paid off.
We stopped by this restaurant for lunch. Appetizers, spring rolls and chicken satay.
1 hour foot massages for 250 Thai Baht! (~equivalent to $8 USD)

Local market by our hotel.

This stall was selling bunnies, hamsters, and porcupines!
All sorts of fried bugs.... gross.
Boat ride back to The Chatrium.

Hopefully it's okay if I comment on all these posts...the market looks adventurous/interesting/creepy. I was thinking what a great deal the massages were, until I realized that each lady must be making much less than $8/hour in her job...sad. There's no way I would even rub Justin's feet for $8/hour and I'm his wife!
