Baby Pearce

Baby Pearce will be joining our family on June 1, 2015! We are so excited for the little guy to come. Here is a timeline of some milestones from week 1-20.

September 21st, 2014 - 3 weeks pregnant.

We found out the traditional way, a home pregnancy test :)

October 8th, 2014- 6 weeks pregnant

We had our first prenatal appointment with my fertility doctor and we saw the baby for the first time! Prior to coming into this appointment, they had tested my Hcg levels in my blood to confirm the pregnancy.  The Hcg levels came back at 473 at 3 weeks pregnant.  Since Hcg levels at 3 weeks are usually around 100, they told me I had a 50% chance of being pregnant with twins! Luckily, only one little baby was in there and Jordan was relieved :)  The baby's heart rate ranged from 98-107. Morning sickness (really all day sickness) with vomiting and poor appetite started from week 5.

That afternoon, we also closed on our house! It was a busy and exciting day!

October 23rd, 2014- 8 weeks pregnant

We had our second prenatal appointment, this time with my OB/GYN. The baby's heart rate was 189.  After this appointment, I was convinced this little one was a girl since the Hcg levels were higher than normal and both heart rates so far were in the upper limit.

November 16th, 2014 12 weeks pregnant

We announced our little bundle of joy to our families and best friends!

Over Thanksgiving break in Vegas, Sarah took the first maternity photos of Jordan and I.

December 15th, 2014- 16 weeks pregnant

It's a BOY! It's safe to say we were shocked! (I had convinced Jordan it was a girl too), but were completely thrilled and so excited to see he was a happy, healthy little boy.  Right before the doctor turned on the ultrasound machine, he asked us what we thought it was.  The second the baby popped up on the ultrasound, he said, "there are definitely some anti-female parts here."  At 16 weeks exactly, I started to feel the little buy moving around.  It felt like little flutters and tiny taps.

January 14th, 2015- 20 weeks pregnant

We had a long appointment with a 2D and 3D anatomy ultrasound.  Little guy was still a boy :) and healthy and active as ever.  Every appointment, they comment on how active he is! He was too cute in the ultrasound, he was sucking his thumb, kicking his legs, and trying to prevent us from seeing his cute little face.

So far, my pregnancy cravings consist of dairy and seafood.  I've been drinking gallons of milk, crave cheese and crackers, and cannot get enough salmon, tuna sandwiches, fish tacos and (cooked) sushi.  The little one's movements are much stronger now, and I can feel him kicking his legs more.  Jordan can even feel his movements now!

We love this little boy so much and can't wait another 20 weeks to meet him!

Jordan was relieved that it was not twins, but I'm sure you were bummed. You'll be glad you documented all of this! You're looking great!
