To celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary, we took a weekend trip to Santa Barbara!
After checking in our hotel, we walked along the shoreline weekend market and looked at paintings, pictures, jewelry, and a little bit of everything!
The weather was a perfect 75 degrees with a slight ocean breeze :) You can't beat California winters!
While researching for our trip, I looked up the restaurants visited by the TV show, 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives', because everywhere they visit looks amazing! For lunch, we stopped by 'Mac's Fish and Chips' on State Street and ate the most delicious cod and fries!
… and needed a little ice cream to wash it down :)
After lunch, we needed a little relaxation time on the beach.
We stayed at the most perfect hotel by the beach. They provided free bikes to ride during your stay. We rode along the beach and up into this lookout point.

For dinner, we stopped by a great Mexican restaurant.
Monday morning, we took another bike ride up state street and then back up to this look out.

Trip Advisor (my favorite trip researching site) had the courthouse as the #1 attraction in Santa Barbara. A courthouse?!? Yep. And it was amazing! So beautiful.
You can walk up the clock tower to see these views!
We stopped by another 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' restaurant called 'Norton's Deli' and had the special PLT sandwich. This is crispy pastrami, bacon, lettuce, and tomato… oh yes it is as tasty as it sounds!!!
We had such a great weekend getaway! Already looking forward to our next Santa Barbara visit!
