For those non-USC fans, I know, I know our blog has been a little boring lately. Sorry, we just love USC football! And I just may get a little teary-eyed thinking this Saturday is our last home game…
Anyways, for some comic relief, here are some good laughs.

I saw this picture on Pinterest and died laughing. This is seriously a perfect depiction of growing up in the Mabey home. My Mom's nickname is 'Mother Nature'. Animals flock to her and just love her. As kids, we would find ads in the newspaper to foster care for kittens and puppies and my Mom would always let us get them. Of course, with the understanding we would have to give them away in 6 weeks.
We had the hardest time giving them away though! If it wasn't for my Mom selling them behind our backs, the second picture would be us for sure.

In our new ward, I am in the Young Women's presidency. A few weeks ago, we had a joint young mens/young women's activity in which we set up the ward's halloween party and haunted house. Wanting to get to know all the kids, I spent the night chatting with everyone and helping set up the haunted house. At the end of the activity and while everyone was getting ready to leave, this conversation happened between one of the young men and I.
Avery: "So I was watching you tonight. Are you new in the ward?"
Me: (totally oblivious) "Yeah I'm new! I just moved into the ward a few months ago!"
Avery: "Would you like to hang out sometime? Like go on a date?"
Me: (totally shocked) "Oh NO! I can't, I'm old!"
Avery: "Like 17 old? Because I'm 16."
Me: "No! Like 26 old! I'm married!"
Poor Avery ran away haha. The bishop came around the corner right after it happened and asked why he was running. After telling him the story, bishop said, "Yeah, he's never coming back to church now." It's still the talk of the ward and even his Mom thinks it is the funniest story.
