Since we only had one day in Pisa and Florence, we knew we had to book a tour guide in order to make the most of our day! After months of research, I found a great tour company that provided one day tours for people on cruises, called RomeCabs. Our tour guide picked us up right outside our cruise ship, loaded us in a Mercedes van, and we were on our way to Pisa!
I had actually been to Pisa before with my family several years ago and I was surprised how much I had remembered.
Jordan, making sure he's holding up the leaning tower of Pisa before it tips over!
Beautiful castle walls surrounding the city.
Then we were off to Florence! On our drive, we stopped by these picturesque views of Tuscany!
You can see a little house on top of the hill and then all the olive and lemon trees.
Piazalle Michelangelo- amazing views of Florence from the hill!
Sorry, haha had to post Jordan's new apron! / The gold doors outside the Florence Baptistery.
The Duomo.
(Outside view, inside walking down the center, view of the dome)
Seriously amazing. How could someone paint those images way up there so perfectly?!
Enjoying some pizza and calzones in the main square.
The replica of Michelangelo's David. You aren't able to take pictures of the real one, but we were so glad we bought tickets in advance to see it at the Galleria Accademia! It is so amazing up close. The entire museum is fascinating and we enjoyed listening to our Rick Steve's audio tours to learn more about everything!
Lovely views over the bridge.
We explored through some small hidden streets and found some cute shops along the way.
At the end of the day, our tour guide took us to an amazing Gelato shop!
