Saint John's has the annual tradition of having a guacamole contest. It is a BIG deal at this hospital. Every department is involved and people talk about it all year round.
The nutrition department won last year's contest so the pressure was on this year to keep our title.
This year, our theme was "Guacamole Paradise". I love the eggplant whale and carrot/green pepper palm trees. There is also dry ice in the volcano and sparklers that were turned on when the judges walked by! :)
Keith, Abeer, and I.
The cardiac cath lab had a Wizard of Oz theme.
Dr. Robertson is the main judge. He invented this contest about 10 years ago. He is the main surgeon for the hospital and takes this contest very seriously! He walks around to all the tables and scores the department's guacamole on its taste, creativity, and presentation.
WE WON AGAIN! Grand prize goes to the Food and Nutrition department.
The dietitians with our Director, Joyce.

Congrats on the win. I'm just a little concerned about your guac--I don't see any flecks of cilantro.
