On our last day in San Francisco, we visited the California Academy of Sciences located in Golden Gate Park. We were able to take the bus which picked us up right outside our hotel, and dropped us off right by the museum.
One of the major attractions is the living rainforest. You are able to walk through a 4-story real rainforest! They keep the temperature between 82-85 degrees and the humidity at 75%, so it feels like you are actually in a rainforest. It was amazing to say the least :)
Can you find the toad?
I was obsessed with the colorful frogs.
Birds and butterflies were flying around.
I loved all the butterflies! (When I was little, we used to "grow" butterflies in our house and release them.)
This is looking up into the aquarium which is the bottom of the rainforest.
Albino Alligator.
The living roof.
Adorable penguins.
After the museum, we found a local restaurant and ate some amazing fish 'n' chips and fish tacos. Seriously, sooo amazing.
We worked off our lunch by walking through Golden Gate Park.
Jordan became a "tree-hugger" :)
Then we hopped back on the bus and stopped by Alamo Square to see the "Painted Ladies".
We enjoyed the view for a while, and may have watched the intro to the show "Full-House" a time or two :)
Before heading home, we had to make one last stop to Fisherman's Wharf to eat some Calm Chowder Bread Bowls!
... and maybe another Ghirardelli shake :)
Sad to say goodbye to our lovely hotel and San Francisco. We jumped on the BART and headed to the Airport.

I'm so jealous you went to SF without me! I love San Francisco, and it is fun to see you guys at all those places! I'm also really glad you had a good time. Looks like you had fantastic weather. My mother always says September and October are the best times to visit the city because it is usually sunny then. She's usually right! xoxo
I'm glad you put the notice about day 2/3 on the next page...I almost missed them! What an awesome weekend you had! Very jealous!
