ADA FNCE- Denver 2009

I was able to attend the annual American Dietetic Association, Food and Nutrition Conference & Expo this year in Denver! I went with my LAC +USC Dietetic Internship class and our internship director Mrs. Elizabeth Ma.Denver Conference Center

The expo- It was a full of hundreds of companies promoting their healthy new products. Along with that came hundreds of free food samples!

My favorite place to be at the expo. I loved these free samples! I have no idea why they were at the expo. Pretzels are not that healthy :) 2nd favorite- notice the freezer full of Blue Bunny treats.
We all left the expo with bags full of samples! What are these bags full of?... loaves of wheat bread, bagels, tortillas, cookbooks, energy bars, brown rice, a lifetime supply of chapstick, coupons, olive oil, pens, etc.

Ken- the 21st male Dietitian! Ken- we found him in the airport on the way back to LA... pounding McDonald's in the food court. Guess you aren't a true dietitian unless you love fast food :)

E. Ma took us out to dinner to Bubba Gumps! We love our internship director. She is sweetest lady with the biggest heart. We love her!

When we weren't spending time in the expo eating and collecting free samples, we did attend the nutrition lectures! They were lectures on the new and upcoming research on hot nutrition topics. Overall it was a fun and informative trip!
