Washington D.C.

After traveling over 30 times with Southwest this year, they gave me 4 free flights to anywhere! Washington D.C. was a great place to use our flights!

First day in D.C. Stopped by the famous "Matchbox" restaurant in China Town for a delicious dinner.

We decided to spend our first night sightseeing. Seeing the monuments at night became our favorite thing to do!
Washington Monument behind the World War II Memorial.
Jordan in the middle of the road to get a great night view of the Capitol :)

Day 2.
Waiting in line to go up the Washington Monument. (Jordan is the one with the black backpack near the end of the line...)
The view from up top. This the the back of the White House.
View of the Lincoln Monument and WWII Memorial.
American History Museum.
Dorothy's shoes!
Inside the Capitol.

The Supreme Court.

White House.

We had to spend some time watching our Cougars defeat the Sooners!
Day 3- Arlington Cemetery
Ted Kennedy's grave. He was buried here just 6 days before this picture was taken.
Ford's Theater- where Lincoln was shot...
We rewarded ourselves from all our walking with these tasty cookie ice-cream sandwiches. These are definitely worth the calories. Trust me. We bought 2 boxes at the grocery store last night and have already consumed one box :)
Getting poured on Sunday night! We had to see the monuments at night one more time though!

Korean Memorial.
Lincoln Memorial.
Vietnam Memorial.
Our hotel.

Mt. Vernon, Virginia- Washington's home and grave.

DC is such a great place to visit. I wish Alicia and I had had more time to see some more of the sights, especially Ford Theater. I don't know how you guys packed it all in, and even managed not to miss the OU game! (Man would you have been kicking yourselves)
